OUR Charming COOP: HOST TO ART SHOWS, GALLERIES, WORKSHOPS, AND PURE MAGIC.

It all started when…

I always dreamed of living on a farm. Twelve years ago that dream became a reality. We moved from Florida to Wisconsin in March of 2009. It was brown and cold, but I could hardly contain my excitement: I was bursting with ideas for our new property.

The Coop was barely standing, entangled in thorny vines; it was an eyesore and we didn’t know whether to knock it down or prop it up. The Coop is a survivor and after many ongoing makeovers it has become a darling outbuilding. This humble little space houses my metals workshop and hosts an array of events throughout the year. It is at its’ most enchanting when my artist friends and I host The Free Range Art Show, The Covered Bridge Art Studio Tour and Free Range Art Workshops. The Coop is pure magic during these events! Filled with fine art and crafts, talented artists and the family and friends who come out to support us, it is transformed.

The Granary (The Coops’ older sister) is attached to our Big Green Barn circa 1891. Along with The Coop and our Home it creates the Lucky Horseshoe of Buildings on our property. The Granary has a soul. It feels like the warm hug of an old friend. We restored this space a few years ago and it has turned out to be spellbinding as a gallery space. Our welcoming Artists and their creations add layers of texture to an already visually pleasing environment.

Our home is a blessing to us. We hope to share it with you during one of our special events.
